Aluminum Nitride Crucible, AlN

Aluminum Nitride Crucible, AlN

Product Name
Aluminum Nitride Crucible
Intruduction of Aluminum nitride (AlN) Crucible
Aluminum nitride (AlN) is a high-performance non-oxide ceramic material with high thermal conductivity and a low coefficient of thermal expansion, making it an ideal material for molten metal containers. It effectively prevents oxidation contamination of molten metals. After cooling, molten alloys do not adhere to the crucible, allowing for easy removal and improved operational efficiency. Additionally, AlN ceramics are not wetted by metals such as aluminum (Al) and calcium (Ca) at high temperatures and exhibit outstanding chemical stability with molten uranium. At elevated temperatures, a protective layer forms on the AlN crucible, effectively reducing corrosion. AlN has been confirmed for use as a graphite crucible lining material in uranium melting processes.

Application
Used for molten titanium and titanium alloy containers

Q1. Will AlN crucibles volatilize or decompose under vacuum or high temperatures?
A1. AlN begins to decompose at 2435°C under atmospheric pressure. In a vacuum environment, the higher the vacuum (lower pressure), the more easily AlN decomposes. Specific data are as follows:
• 10¹ Pa (0.1 mbar): 1283°C
• 10º Pa (0.01 mbar): 1181°C
• 10⁻¹ Pa (0.001 mbar): 1092°C
Q2. How can I get a quotation?
A2. To process your inquiry accurately, please provide the crucible drawings and specify the purchase quantity.
Q3. Do you offer samples?
A3. Yes, we can provide samples. However, the cost and lead time will depend on the product type. Please contact us for more details.
