✅ What Materials Can Be Used with Boron Nitride Crucibles?

Boron nitride crucibles are suitable for the melting and processing of a variety of non-ferrous metals, including zinc, iron, magnesium, copper, nickel, aluminum, and bismuth. They are also compatible with certain high-performance alloys such as Co-Zr-Nb and Fe-Co-Ni-Si.
At room temperature, the crucibles exhibit excellent corrosion resistance as they do not react with water or acids. Additionally, they show good chemical compatibility with materials such as boric acid, ammonia, and rare earth elements.

⚠️ Material Limitations When Using BN Crucibles

Avoid using BN crucibles with materials such as titanium carbide, molybdenum trioxide, antimony trioxide, arsenic trioxide, and chromium trioxide.
BN crucibles may also be corroded by boron phosphate at temperatures above 1400°C in a nitrogen atmosphere, and they will react with chlorine gas and concentrated alkalis at elevated temperatures.
