It is commonly produced in the form of plates and structural components. Composed primarily of covalent bonds in a hexagonal wurtzite structure, aluminum nitride ceramics are non-toxic and environmentally safe.\r\nAlN ceramics exhibit higher flexural strength compared to functional ceramics such as dielectric ceramics and barium titanate ceramics. However, their strength is slightly lower than structural ceramics like zirconia and silicon nitride ceramics. Notably, aluminum nitride ceramics have a thermal expansion coefficient closely matching silicon and gallium nitride, making them highly compatible and suitable for integration into various systems. They demonstrate excellent thermal stability up to 800\u00b0C but begin to oxidize at temperatures beyond this threshold.\r\n\r\nAlN ceramics maintain high strength at room temperature and show very little loss of performance even as the temperature rises. For example, hot-pressed AlN can still hold a strength of around 500 MPa when heated to 1500\u00b0C. Due\u00a0to its high thermal conductivity combined with a low thermal expansion rate, AlN handles rapid temperature changes exceptionally well and is particularly suited for use in heat exchangers, including those found in gas turbines.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<a class=\"pro-detail-btn\" href=\"https:\/\/weiert-ceramics.com\/ja\/contact\/\">\u30b3\u30f3\u30bf\u30ab\u30c3\u30c8US<\/a>\r\n\r\n<strong>\u7a92\u5316\u30a2\u30eb\u30df\u30cb\u30a6\u30e0\u30bb\u30e9\u30df\u30c3\u30af\u30b9\u306e\u9ad8\u3044\u71b1\u4f1d\u5c0e\u6027<\/strong>\r\nThe high thermal conductivity of aluminum nitride ceramics is attributed to its unique phonon-based heat conduction mechanism. While single crystals can achieve thermal conductivity values as high as 319 W\/m\u00b7K, the thermal conductivity of sintered aluminum nitride ceramics ranges between 70 and 270 W\/m\u00b7K. Aluminum nitride ceramic substrates typically exhibit thermal conductivity in the range of 170 to 190 W\/m\u00b7K.\r\nDuring high-temperature sintering, lattice and oxygen defects may form, impacting thermal performance. To achieve higher thermal conductivity, it is crucial to minimize oxygen concentration during the sintering process.
